My name is Jazz Minty, and I’m 33 years old. I’m relatively new in the social art community. My passion for painting stayed hidden for over 25 years. When I discovered I had a hidden undiscovered talent for painting I started to devote more and more of my time to painting. I loved it so much that it didn’t matter that I really had no idea how to properly follow techniques or even the difference between brush strokes. I was determined to change that. I started practising as much as possible. I must have painted over 150 paintings before I was satisfied enough to show family and friends. After receiving lots compliments I decided to rent a booth at the flea market. There I showed about 75 smaller pieces selling while painting live for people to watch. After one year I began contacting galleries and since have been lucky enough to have had my work shown in Dunville, at Bittle art gallery. And the (N.A.C) Niagara Artist Center in St Cathrines. I’ve had pieces sell at both places and aside from original pieces I have been commissioned by several people to paint various landscapes. Despite being totally self taught I am proud to be able to say that I’m an artist.
