Open Saturday & Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Art Bar

This year we offer children genuine opportunities to create unique arts and crafts pieces in our sunny outdoor, covered space. Creative junior artists are encouraged to express their ideas and interests by free exploration of a variety of crafting materials.
Featuring paint, glue, crafting and sketching paper, glitter, stickers, feathers, gems, coloured tape, beads, pipe cleaners, tissue paper, beads, gems, clay, crafting wire, string & more! Through the process of discovering materials, building crafting skills, running into challenges and mistakes, and imagining solutions, children will discover how to work and think like an artist. Children will use their hands and hearts to create art that is unique and meaningful to them.

Community Yarn Art Mural

Stitched on chicken wire using yarn, children will follow simple patters to cross-stitch large flowers, such as roses and forget-me-nots, animals and birds, and other nature inspired images. With the assistance of a volunteer instructor, children will be guided in the creation of a community art piece, representing our theme of ‘Enchanted Forest’.

Family Friendly Painting Challenge

We aim to entice your family and friends to work together to recreate masterpieces!
Pick an easel and settle in with a blank canvas. Using a variety of paint mediums and tools, challengers are pitted against each other in a race to recreate a well-recognized painting.  You can work alone or with partners.
You will be assisted by volunteer artists offering tips and tricks. Challenges may include the moon and stars in Van Gogh’s Starry Night, a splatter portion of a Jackson Pollock, waterlilies from Monet, or Woodland style inspirations.

We aim to include the whole family; young children, youth, parents and grandparents.  Groups of 4-6 people can participate at one time. Gather your family and come on down!

Spin Art and Framing

Spin painting is a favourite activity of kids. Pick your colours, flick the switch on our spin machine and watch as gravity creates a unique creation! Let our helpers hang it to dry, while you decorate your frame with stickers, gems and colourful tape.

Life Sized Photo Standees

Highlighting The Mona Lisa by the Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci  and & The Scream by Norwegian Expressionist artist Edvard Munch, have your picture taken in our fun cut out standees.

Retro Music Touch & Play

A fun and interactive music exploration activity, showcasing music listening tools of the past, including vinyl records, 8 tracks, and cassette tapes. Kids can explore and play on machines much larger than the ipads and devices they know and love today.
Volunteers will show them tricks, such as how to wind a tape back-up with a pencil, as well as the fine art of making a mixed tape from the radio.  Touch and Play all day long.
