Nezqwik will be taking The Carmel Fine Art & Music Festival Stage Friday September 14th first with Liberty Silver, 8:15pm-9:00pm and a 2nd set at 9:15pm-10:00pm

Nezqwik was formed by bandleader Aleef Mehdi, based in Hamilton and Toronto.

Originally an 8 piece band, their new trio set-up features Aleef on guitar, his childhood musical partner and best friend Benjamin Duff on bass, and their companion from Humber College’s music program, Jinu Isac on drums. All three have major musical influences in the jazz, R&B, funk, hip-hop, and fusion genres of music within their playing and writing.  In Nezqwik, these layers are all fused together to create something exclusive, unique, and spontaneous.  Their main goal is to never play the same show twice, even if the setlist is exactly the same.

Expressed through a combination of both covers and originals, this band always leaves audiences asking for new bands to listen to, as their musical palette is expanded. Currently in the process of writing a debut album, the band’s philosophy is aptly described by the three short words of their slogan; Groove. Pocket. Colour.
