Wendy was raised in Temagami, Ontario, is a Status Indian and member of the Temagami First Nations Indian Band and now resides in St. Catharines, Ontario with her manager and husband, Curtt. She is the mother of two grown sons, Nick and Chris, grandmother to baby Blakely Lynn and step mom to Drew & Taryn.
She began her endeavor into the music business in April, 2009 at the encouragement and support of Curtt, performing in clubs and other venues and released her first album “Life Is Good” which was recorded in Nashville in 2010.
Her 2 nd self-titled album released in November, 2011 features a blend of traditional & new country and country gospel songs. Three songs off the cd were written by Wendy & Curtt, and features CCMA award winning players Shane Guse and Doug Johnson.
Wendy’s third CD “Love Me Now” was released in Spring 2015 and it is a mix of some of her favourite traditional country covers and five new originals, four of which were co-written by Wendy.
Many of Canada’s top musicians performed on her new album which was produced by Dean Malton and recorded at Phase One Studio in Toronto and Groundloop Studio (Niagara).
Wendy keeps busy performs in festivals, fairs and other venues throughout Canada and in the USA. You can hear several of Wendy’s songs on numerous radio stations across Canada, USA & Europe.
Wendy is also a fronting member of the new theatre show called “CCR – Classic Country Revivial – The Premier Classic County Show” along with international artist Elton Lammie and the Classic Country Showband which includes some of Canada’s illustrious and accomplished musicians such as Darren Lachance, Doug Johnson, Peter Sisk, Ed Mortenson and Steve O’Connor.
